Are you dancing?

The day we had full access to a Scottish music icon.

For anyone living in Scotland and who loves going to gigs, then The Barrowlands Ballroom in Glasgow is probably been on your radar at some point. The iconic venue which began life as a dance hall in the 1930s and went on to host some memorable gigs with the likes of Blur, The Clash, Oasis and Simple Minds to name a few so where better to do a photoshoot with an up and coming singer/song writer.
So back in 2011 over a coffee with Bex Currie (https://soundcloud.com/bexcurrie) we decided that’s what we would do. After a few emails with the Barrowlands management we gained access to shoot in the venue for a day. Complete access to the all areas that those bands and many more graced. Here are a few images from that day.

I recently photographed Scottish athlete Niamh Guest in the studio.
Niamh is currently the number two 400 hurdler in Scotland in the  U18 category. Coming back for injury she hopes to build on that for 2016
